Joshua Atwill Pais is an actor who played eight different characters on Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He is probably best known for playing Assistant Medical Examiner Borak in Law & Order.
Pais also played a medical examiner in the Homicide: Life on the Street season six episode "Shaggy Dog, City Goat".
He is best known for his portrayals of Gaila in the TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Raphael (a character played by Sean Astin in the 2012 animated series and Omar Benson Miller in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) in the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (with Elias Koteas, James Saito, and Sam Rockwell).
Pais was married from 1990 to 2003 to actress Lisa Emery, who has also appeared through out the Law & Order franchise.
