Juan Alvarez is a harassing extortionist advertising leather products and a suspect in the murder of Ellen Sazelin. Alvarez tried to run when being questioned but was arrested, only to by shot by Dennis Gilcrest, the husband of one of Alvarez's victims who died from the stress of harassing messages.
Alvarez was cleared from naming another victim he terrorized at the time of the murder and, once recovered medically, found guilty of negligent homicide, stalking, harassment, second-degree menacing, and extortion and imprisoned (SVU: "Bully")
