Justin Sachs is a serial killer who murdered an entire family of four. He claimed to have committed the murders under extreme emotional duress brought on by posttraumatic stress disorder, which had been induced by live press coverage of the September 11 attacks.
After Detective Cyrus Lupo testified about his own experiences with PTSD, Sachs agreed to take a plea bargain. He was subsequently sentenced to 30 years to life imprisonment, with the possibility of parole, for the murders. (L&O: "Steel-Eyed Death")
