IMDb profile

Kim Delaney is an actress who played Captain Julia Millfield in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episodes "Philadelphia" and "Florida".

Delaney is an Emmy Award-winning American actress, best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell in NYPD Blue (with Gordon Clapp, Sharon Lawrence, James McDaniel, Esai Morales, Gail O'Grady, Henry Simmons, and Nicholas Turturro). But it was her iconic role as Jenny Gardner in the drama All My Children that first brought her fame, and a permanent place in the heart of many daytime television viewers. After All My Children, she went on to star in several other television series and films. She then starred on the TV shows Philly (with Rick Hoffman, Tom Everett Scott, and Kyle Secor), CSI: Miami (with Khandi Alexander and Adam Rodriguez), and Army Wives (with Catherine Bell, Terry Serpico, Paul Wesley, and Kelli Williams).

In 1988, she became a regular in the series Tour of Duty (with Ramón Franco). Ironically, when she left that show in 1989 because she became pregnant in real life, her war journalist character died in an explosion, just as her All My Children character had exited 5 years earlier.
