Kitty Bennett is a woman who was raped by her doctor Joshua Hensley.
History[]
During one of Kitty's appointments with Hensley, Hensley raped her and then brainwashed Kitty into believing that she wanted it. Kitty was traumatized by her ordeal and even ended up pregnant, and upon discovering that Hensley was getting married to a woman named Lana Stallworth, she crashed Hensley's wedding and told everyone that Hensley had raped her.
After an amount of time with the Special Victims Unit investigating and Hensley being harassed by Kitty, Kitty broke into Hensley and Lana's apartment and held Hensley hostage with glass from a broken bottle, threatening to kill him. Lieutenant Benson and Detective Rollins told Kitty not to attack Hensley, but when Kitty recited Hensley's harassments at her, a distraught Lana screamed at Kitty to kill him, revealing that Hensley had raped her as well and manipulated her with the same language and behaviors. With this confession, Hensley was arrested and imprisoned for the rapes.
Kitty was subsequently exonerated from the charges of hostage-taking and was happy that she got the truth out. Benson, a product of rape who was scarred by how Kitty spoke about her child similarly to Benson's own mother Serena, encouraged Kitty to love her child so as to not project Hensley onto her baby.
