Klein Rothberg is the primary defense attorney of Kenneth Cleary, a serial rapist and robber of women in apartment complexes in Manhattan and Philadelphia.

History[]

He is revealed to be Jewish when one of Cleary's victims, Harper Anderson, says he'll pay for his representation of Cleary in Hell, since Rothberg had to clarify Jewish communities don't believe in Hell.

When Cleary's wife Meredith Cleary was unable to keep from crossing the line of spousal privilege in her testimony, Rothberg successfully moved for a mistrial. As a result, Cleary was acquitted of all charges, but Rotherberg didn't save his client from being shot dead when allegedly beating Meredith and Harper was present to help her in the aftermath.
