Quotes[]
McCoy: I'm prosecuting a murderer. Campaigning is the last thing on my mind.
Gov. Shalvoy: Really... quit playing Hamlet. Declare yourself a candidate and get it over with. By the way, do you know Joe Shappell in the Attorney General's office?
McCoy: Politics as usual?
[Later, McCoy and Cutter are watching Gov. Shalvoy on television praising, then appointing Joe Chappell to a special commission.]
McCoy: Politics as usual. Here... [Sets down a paper on his desk.] I'd like you to be the first to sign this.
Cutter: [Reads paper] "Nominating Petition For The Office Of New York County District Attorney."
McCoy: I need 10,000 signatures. I'm too old to play Hamlet. [They both smile.]
