Kyle Chase is the Peconic High School basketball team captain, who colluded with teammates Tony Stratton and Timothy Moore in a hate crime campaign against Latin American men without documentation. After their sports program lost funds to integrating international kids into their school, they attacked three men in Peconic, then moved to Manhattan to kill two more men. Stratton used his family sedan as transportation, Moore brought a BB gun for the attacks, and Chase used the school website to post footage online.
They were all traced from the evidence and taken to trial. Chase got a new lawyer, Helen Weiss, and requested a plea for assault in exchange for testifying against Stratton and Moore. Chase emphatically denied he didn’t participate in the other two boys killing one of the men they attacked in Manhattan. The case was already shaky, and Stratton and Moore were also only found guilty of assault. However, when another man they attacked died from his injuries after, they were open to another trial for murder. (L&O: "Promote This!")
