Larry Luft is the secret boyfriend of lesbian rights and justice activist Babs Duffy. As Babs was openly a lesbian but still a closeted bisexual, partly for the purpose of her movement but also out of not coming to terms with herself fully, the two would have clandestine meetings, albeit which would be captured in revealing photos.
Larry would be shot when coming to Babs' apartment with a tire iron, as a series of violent rapes and one murder were being waged on Babs' group and other lesbian women. Larry revealed who he really was, as did the scanty photos on his phone. Babs was originally afraid to admit her bisexuality, but her evasion stopped when, for the sake of the movement and the investigation, she agreed to come out during a public event, the same event where the rapist and murderer, affiliate Ronnie Watley, was arrested.
