Laura Kendrick is the partner both in intimacy and crime of killer sadist Peter Williams.
History[]
Williams, a major obsessor over pathological criminals, dated Kendrick because she enjoyed the glue of their relationship being his sexual violence needs. He wanted to rape virgin teenagers, but he compensated with sexual degradation and beatings of Kendrick, then another girlfriend Williams took. Kendrick directed his performance as he started to escalate. Kendrick assisted Williams in five separate kidnappings and brutal rapes of virgin teenage girls in Nassau County, Williams never charged due to little evidence. Kendrick was clever enough to douche and clean the girls afterward to remove evidence, which she retained as an instinct in her future crimes with Williams.
When Williams escalated to murder, Kendrick participated in tying down, taping eyes and mouths of, drugging with GHB, gang-raping, and brutalizing the girls they held captive, both taking Polaroids and videos of the crimes and Kendrick posing in front of the camera herself while Williams took footage. After Willians strangled two runaway girls from Indiana, he promised Kendrick marrying her and giving her a beautiful ring if she “gave” her little sister Jane. She eagerly raped and tortured Jane and Annika Ohlman, an exchange student living with her family, with Williams, Jane choking on her own vomit when she overdosed on the GHB. Annika was strangled three days later.
When Jane and Annika were identified, and the rape spree was tied to their killings, Kendrick was feared another victim because she was also missing. When she was at the hospital horrifically brutalized, she blamed Williams, and he was charged with the crimes. She seemed like a battered and unwilling accomplice, until her skin cells from her thigh were found to have still been under Jane’s fingernails. Her family swiftly retained a lawyer, especially after the photos and videos were found, including the two runaways who still weren’t identified. As she was still under a plea bargain, they rolled with it to get Williams convicted.
Kendrick and Williams argued the other was the mastermind, Kendrick saying she was abused and forced under duress, Williams saying she gave the pointers and committed murders herself. Williams was convicted on all counts and sentenced to death. Kendrick was goaded at her own allocation to admit coldly that she cherished Williams staying with her as a result of her complicity. Once the judge threw out her plea, she was ordered to take a 25 to life plea and to identify the two runaways.
While Williams was executed, Kendrick was found guilty of rape, kidnapping, conspiracy, accessory, and obstruction of justice and served at least near the maximum sentence. (L&O: "Fools For Love")
