Laura Anne Moore is a teenager who was seduced by her older neighbor Greg Callahan into a sexual relationship, which eventually got her pregnant.

She and her sister lost their mother at a young age, which led to their father Douglas raising them on his own. They live next to Greg Callahan, who Laura had a crush on and he became a family friend. However, Greg was a predator who slowly groomed Laura into a sexual relationship that went on for a while. With Greg having no interest in his girlfriend Susan Bard, Greg gleefully proposed to Laura and told her to not reveal their encounter. Instead, he manipulated her into accusing her father Douglas of molesting her to take attention and suspicion off him, which led to Laura's older sister Britney murdering Douglas in a rage after Laura confided in her.
An investigation revealed the truth, and Laura's delirium in believing she could have a loving, healthy relationship with Callahan in her own fantasy of Romeo and Juliet, down to running to Greg from her troubled life as far as her mother killing herself. Britney was recruited to get Greg to confess, which succeeded even when Britney went off script and nearly killed Greg by attacking Greg with a steak knife and narrowly being off her aim, cutting his cheek instead. Greg was immediately arrested, with Britney taking a deal of probation and counseling.
