Lauren Luna Vélez (born Luna Lauren Vélez) is an actress who played four different characters on Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Her most notable roles are as María LaGuerta on Showtime's Dexter (with Julie Benz, C.S. Lee, David Zayas, and Geoff Pierson), Dr. Gloria Nathan on HBO's prison drama Oz (with Christopher Meloni, Lee Tergesen, Dean Winters, B.D. Wong, Lance Reddick, Mike Doyle, Kathryn Erbe, and J.K. Simmons), and Elena on ABC's comedy-drama Ugly Betty (with Judith Light). She also voiced Rio Morales in the animated Spider-Verse films (with Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Kimiko Glenn, and Oscar Isaac).
