Lee Healy is a victim of molestation and rape by his cousin Jeremy but his stepfather was blamed for it.
History[]
Lee was raped by his cousin Jeremy after he came into his room one night. In a moment of panicked post-trauma, when his mother Carin saw his bedsheets stained with semen, Lee accused her boyfriend and the father of her other son Danny, Michael Baxter, also partly out of resentment over nearly marrying into the family.
Michael was arrested and convicted largely from Lee's testimony and a neglect over the DNA evidence by a technician who would later be convicted for his own actions. Michael was imprisoned for ten years and transferred to Virginia, where he knocked out a guard, stole his uniform, and ran off. In a hostage situation, Michael demanded answers from Lee, saying he'd never mean him harm, but Lee just kept screaming his accusations at Michael. Despite Benson's best efforts, when the situation got heightened, Michael was shot and almost killed on the call of the commander in chief.
When the DNA evidence was revealed to be a familial match, thus exonerating Michael, Lee was confronted. He kept trying to deny the truth, but he finally caved and revealed Jeremy as the sexual assailant, begging the squad to not tell Carin. She heard on the other side of the interrogation window, though, and demanded her own answers, and when Lee said he didn't want Michael in the family, she scorned Lee in her grief and he was devastated.
When Jeremy was arrested, Lee voiced his anger at his cousin for his actions and making him put Michael away. After Jeremy was convicted, it is unknown if Lee was arrested as well or not after making a false allegation against Michael. (SVU: "Escape")
