Leland Orser is an actor who played three different characters in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Orser is a character actor, whose career has included playing a number of parts of deranged, psychotic, and degenerate characters. He starred as Sam Scott Gilroy in the Taken film series (with Maggie Grace). Orser has appeared in small roles in a wide variety of films and television shows, including Chief of Surgery Dr. Lucien Dubenko, on the television show ER and In 2003, he appeared as James Wesley/Wesley Owen Welch in the comic-turned-film Daredevil (with Jennifer Garner, Ellen Pompeo, Erick Avari, David Keith, and Kevin Smith). He also starred on the TV show Berlin Station (with Tamlyn Tomita, John Doman, and Keke Palmer).
Orser is a well-known actor in the Star Trek franchise. He played a Changeling posing as the Romulan Colonel Lovok in Deep Space Nine, a homicidal hologram in Voyager, and a deranged blood-bank technician in Enterprise.
He married Northern Irish actress Roma Downey, who is best known for her role in the TV series Touched by an Angel as Monica, in 1987; they divorced in 1989. In 2000, he married Jeanne Tripplehorn, who is best known for her roles in the TV shows Big Love and Criminal Minds and the movie Basic Instict. Together, they have one son who was born in 2002.
