Lenny Simmons is the CEO of LMZ, a tabloid brand responsible for framing Scott Russo for the rape and negligent near-death of Madison Baker.
History[]
Simmons had a previous background as a lawyer, which he used to argue his free speech rights under his outlet.
LMZ released security footage of Russo and Madison partying, drinking, and kissing, before she came up to Russo's hotel room. Since the footage was collected by a police impersonator, Simmons is handed a subpoena in front of a grand jury, but he refuses to disclose his source. Simmons is then arrested, with his employees applauding him as he leaves. In lockup, Fin gets a confession from Simmons in disguise that Russo's manager, Lydia Lebasi, framed Russo with the footage to boost the career of the real guilty party, co-star Skye Adderson. Simmons cooperated when threatened with release from custody with the public knowledge he sold Lydia out, which would destroy his business.
Simmons was found guilty on conspiracy, accessory, and obstruction charges and was imprisoned. (SVU: "Agent Provocateur")
