Lillian Andrews is the wife of Leonard Andrews, a sexual predator who repeatedly raped her daughter Maggie since she was a child.
History[]
Lillian's first husband abandoned her and their daughter, forcing her to solely care for Maggie while working a taxing job as a pediatrician. She later met and married Leonard, an Attorney General who later became a famous judge. Leonard adopted Maggie, before he and Lillian went on to have two kids of their own, Peyton and Charles, with them being seen as a loving family. However, Leonard was secretly a pedophile who abused Maggie when she was younger while not touching his other children. At one point, Lillian discovered the abuse from Charles, who noticed his father exiting Maggie's room on more than one occasion, but Lillian told him that it was a dream. She soon became suspicious from Leonard's questioning of Maggie, and after getting him to admit it, she made him promise to never do it again while forcing him to make a written confession. Not wanting to take care of three children alone, Lillian kept the confession as a form of leverage against him.
When Maggie uncovered the confession while moving supplies from the family home, she reported it to the Special Victims Unit. Later, her memory returned, and she was triggered into a self-harming episode that led to her hospitalization. At the hospital, she and Leonard were notified by Peyton, but after seeing the SVU were on the scene, she suspected something. A quick talk notified Leonard of the cause, and he promptly ended the interview and forbade the detectives from talking further without his attorneys. Eventually, Lillian was used as a witness by her husband. On the stand, she denied knowledge of any alleged abuse, but this caused Charles to leave. As a result, the SVU discovered that Lillian was lying, and a search of her confirmed that she knew about the abuse. When brought in, she tried to justify her actions, even claiming that her daughter seduced her husband. When both Carisi and Benson reprimanded her for this, a unrepentant Lillian rebutted that it was in her best interest to have Leonard, as she couldn't raise all three children by herself. She then refused to turn on Leonard, who later made a full confession to Carisi.
As a result, Leonard was imprisoned, while Lillian was not charged because of the statute of limitations expiring, though it was revealed that all of her children discovered her actions and cut off all ties with her, and she lost her job. (SVU: "Excavation")
