Lily Rabe is an actress who guest-starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order.
Rabe is best known for her multiple roles: Nora Montgomery, Sister Mary Eunice McKee, Misty Day, Aileen Wuornos, Shelby Miller, Lavinia Richter, Doris Gardener, and Amelia Earhart on the FX anthology horror series American Horror Story created by Glee helmers Brad Falchuck and Ryan Murphy with Dylan McDermott, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Alexandra Breckenridge, Chloë Sevigny, Finn Wittrock, Mare Winningham, Kate Mara, Rebecca Wisocky, and Denis O'Hare, and her lead role as Claire Bennigan on the ABC science fiction series The Whispers.
She is the daughter of playwright David Rabe (born 1940) and actress Jill Clayburgh (1944–2010). She has a younger brother, Michael, an actor and playwright, and an older paternal half-brother, Jason, a musician.
In December 2016, it was reported that Rabe was expecting her first child with boyfriend, actor Hamish Linklater, who had also guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Rabe gave birth to a girl in March 2017. In June 2020, the pair had their second child, a daughter. In September 2021, Rabe announced her third pregnancy with Linklater. In June 2022, Rabe gave birth to their third child.
