Linus William Roache is an actor who is known for his portrayal of Executive Assistant District Attorney Michael Cutter in Law & Order. His character took over Jack McCoy's (Sam Waterston) post, because he was promoted to District Attorney. Roache first appeared in the Season 18 episode "Called Home".

He is the son of Coronation Street actor, William Roache, who holds a Guinness World Record for Longest serving actor in a Soap Opera for his 55 years with Coronation Street as Ken Barlow. Between 1973 and 1975 Linus appeared sporadically as Ken's son Peter. In 2005, he appeared as Thomas Wayne (a character played by Luke Roberts in The Batman) in Batman Begins (with Mark Boone Junior). In 2010 Linus again appeared in Coronation Street as Lawrence Cunningham, another of Ken's sons with Linus's younger half-brother, James Roache, playing the role Lawrence's own son James. He also starred on the 2012 miniseries Titanic as Hugh, Earl of Manton.

In February 2014, Roache debuted in Season 2 of the TV series Vikings (with Katheryn Winnick and Lothaire Bluteau) as Ecbert of the Kingdom of Wessex and as The Kingmaker on The Blacklist.

He starred as White House Chief of Staff David Wellington in seasons seven and eight of the TV series Homeland (with Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Amy Hargreaves, Hugh Dancy, Elizabeth Marvel, Jake Weber, Tim Guinee, and Kate Burton).
