Lisa Lu Banes was an actress who guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode "Totem" as Elaine Frye Cavanaugh.
She is best known for her portrayals of Eve McBain on the soap-opera series One Life To Live and Ellen Collins on the comedy-drama series Royal Pains.

Banes was struck by a motor scooter in New York City on June 4, 2021, suffering severe brain trauma. She died of her injuries ten days later at Mount Sinai Hospital.
