Liz Garnet is the mother of Kim Garnet.
History[]
Liz's husband Bill Garnet lost his job in the fall of 2008, contributing to a stressful time for the family. Kim's grades slipped, prompting Liz and Bill to urge her to cut back on sports, and a concern that she spent too much time with her boyfriend Steve Walker. After Kim was hospitalized by a fall at school, which revealed old injuries indicating a pattern of abuse, Liz was questioned by Detective Olivia Benson. Liz was shocked and angered when Benson suggested Bill was responsible.
Ultimately, her boyfriend Steve was found to be the assailant. Liz was horrified and outraged with Bill when corrupt judge Hilda Marsden sentenced Kim as an adult for a juvenile misdemeanor she wasn't even responsible for. When Marsden was arrested for doing so to Kim and countess other children for bribes, Kim was released and reunited with her parents and the boy who really loved her, Ethan Morse, who was integral in saving Kim and her life.
