Law and Order

Lola Simenon is the widow of Kenneth Cross, who was running couple's scams with her and was the legal partner of radio host Robert Flynn.

History[]

Flynn had a pension for harassing and groping wives of his associates and thus set his sights on Lola. When Flynn found out he was going to be the couple's latest target to scam, Flynn shot Ken off Amsterdam Avenue and stole his personal items to make it look like a robbery. Flynn barged into Lola's home, threatening her life with the same gun if she told. It would later be implied Flynn sexually abused Lola under the same threats.

When Flynn raped Ellen Kaplan, the wife of another associate Mitch Kaplan, Flynn was investigated undercover by Rollins. When Flynn started drinking and harassing Rollins in private, he let slip his murder of Ken with a few specific details and implied Ken got in the way of Flynn raping Lola. While Rollins went off script and said she was a liaison sent to spy on Flynn who was willing to turn to Flynn's side for a fee, the police questioned Lola once Ken's murder was matched from the cold case unit. Lola denied everything, but she called Flynn and told him about the cops, which was around the same time detectives found the couple's scams.

After Rollins worked to keep her cover despite Flynn knowing she went to the police, Lola was sent a tape where Flynn wanted a hit on her. Horrified, she finally confessed to covering for Flynn and the couple's scams. To get Flynn arrested, she agreed to one more scam in posing for a photo for "proof" of the hit that was staged. This was enough for Flynn's arrest.

Flynn was later killed by Mitch out of revenge for raping Ellen. It's unknown what happened to Lola after her crimes came to light and she cooperated with the justice system. (SVU: "Video Killed The Radio Star")
