Lonnie Rickman is the kid drug mule of Ross Morales and the shooter of Carol Merrick, with the intention of instead trying to kill accomplice Clayton Doyle. Lonnie was sold to Morales by his mother Cassie.

Cassie wanted to continue feeding her drug habits through Morales, so she signed custody of Lonnie over to Morales, who stole Lonnie from the hospital and raised him to be a drug courier and enforcer. Clayton was another mule, but he wanted out, so Morales ordered Lonnie to kill him. Lonnie lured Clayton to a rooftop and shot at him, but the stray bullet killed a sleeping woman, Carol Merrick, in her apartment in an adjacent building.
Lonnie was tracked and arrested, but he refused to testify against Morales, as he thought he was protecting his mother, who Morales threatened to kill. Morales couldn’t even be charged with kidnapping with the custody agreement skating by judicial action. Lonnie was brought to see Cassie openly state in interrogation how she didn’t love him, so he sold Morales out to get his life back.
Lonnie accepted a plea of five years in juvenile detention, devastated Cassie didn’t even come to his sentencing. (L&O: “Slave”)
