Louise Halpern is a former student and classmate at the same medical school as Heath Barron. She barely regarded Barron except for harassing her in an insistence to have a relationship with her, despite the fact she was already dating someone else then. Barron eventually turned to younger, sexually eager women and girls, including his girlfriend Moira and a teenager named Cici Taylor.
Louise was tracked when a video of Cici having sex with Barron was found when Barron was suspected of rape with his new girlfriend, "Sadie Parker". Louise told her side of the harassment and led the detectives to Barron's rental home. There, Moira's remains were found in the walls of the basement, and "Sadie" was revealed to be Cici, who was missing for years after Barron seduced her away from her life. (SVU: "Plastic")
