Lydia Lebasi is a casting agent involved in the statutory rape, kidnapping, and reckless endangerment of Madison Baker.
History[]
Lebasi particularly favored young stars and starlets as her clients, appearing several times to have some hypnotic seduction over their naivete and treating and addressing their young mindsets as such so she could mold them to how she and the film industry wanted. Her clients included Scott Russo, a notorious hippie celeb with an obsession with his teenage fans, and Skye Adderson, one of her most promising clients for major deals.
She intervened when Russo seduced Madison Baker up to his room before finding out she was underage and rejecting her, then Adderson had drinks and sex with before she overdosed on the booze and some of Adderson's pills she stole. Lebasi swiftly grabbed a cheap suitcase from Russo's room and made Adderson stuff Madison inside. Choosing Adderson over Russo as a star to make a success, she directed Adderson to leave Madison in an alley, with the bag slightly open so she'd be found.
Lebasi, all the way pretending to stonewall investigators by said she'd take questions for Russo, sent a police impersonator to collect the security footage and sent it to tabloid magnet LMZ, run by Lenny Simmons. She bribed Simmons into only releasing footage of Russo to incriminate him, then left the drugs and condoms Adderson used in Russo's room as further implication.
But Simmons gave Lebasi up, after being arrested for contempt of court, and even after Lebasi still lied that Russo was guilty and not Adderson, Madison finally stopped lying out of her obsession with Russo and told the truth about Adderson. Adderson and Lebasi were confronted when they were about to leave for New Zealand for Adderson acting in The Catalyst, and Adderson was the first to spill. Lebasi solemnly accepted they would be penalized and admitted she didn't want a "stupid girl" ruining the movie deal, consoling Adderson when he was perturbed by the notion he'd be facing prison time, addressing him as her "beautiful boy". Russo was then released, implying Lebasi really did want to sell him out for Adderson to be her favorite.
Lebasi was found guilty in aiding and abetting a statutory rape and endangerment of a child's welfare, as well as facilitating a kidnapping and reckless endangerment of a child and obstructing the law, and was imprisoned accordingly. (SVU: "Agent Provocateur")
