Mala Marsden is the younger sister of Hilary Marsden, an accomplice of international serial killer and con man Bernard Fremont. In 2006, she joined Fremont's robbery ring and helped him dispatch Marcel Costas, another accomplice, when he failed Fremont. She also bailed out Fremont, Hilary, and another member of the group, Sammie, when the three of them were arrested for the murders of Russ Corbett and Wesley Banyon. Later, as she and Bernard were walking down the court steps, he was killed by his former lover and pupil Nicole Wallace, who poisoned him with a syringe filled with an unknown substance.
