After Derek was murdered, Manny became a suspect in his murder after the investigation found online messages which led to Manny. Manny confessed to the murder and claimed that he killed him because he thought he was a liberal pedophile.
Manny's bail was set at $2 million and he was confronted by the judge who claimed that someone had started a GoFundMe page that already raised over $900,000 in one day. Before Manny could testify against a man who was suspected of orchestrating his murder, Manny committed suicide while in his cell. (L&O: "Free Speech")
