Martin Parish is the son of Connie Parish, who raped Mona Stewart.

At a therapy session, Martin complains that Connie doesn't give him any space but Connie defends herself and claims that all she is doing is looking out for Martin. At work, Connie snubs Martin and Mona invites Martin to spend some time with her. Martin then hears inappropriate noises from Connie and another man and tells Mona that he will be at hers in an hour. In an elevator, Martin abruptly tells Connie that he made plans so he can't go out for dinner with her. At Mona's house, Martin and Mona look at designs and then talk about Connie. Mona then asks Martin to give her cocaine, and he tells her to keep it as it's nice that she invites him over and protects him. They had a good a talk but Martin made a move on her but Mona refuses to have sex with Martin, causing Martin to get upset and rape her. After the rape, he cries to Connie that he did something bad.
After Benson investigates Martin for rape, Benson and Tutuola question Martin who claims that him and Mona only cuddled. Benson tells Martin that they did a rape kit and Martin blames the cocaine, claiming that Mona is lying because his mother found out and was going to fire her. Connie then shows up and tells Benson and Tutuola not to question Martin without a lawyer present. After Carisi managed to get a warrant for Martin's arrest, Benson and the team enter the mansion to arrest Martin and find him cuddling up with Connie. Martin then ends up getting arrested for rape. Later, Martin doesn't believe that he could be held accountable for the rape and his lawyer claims that it is all inadmissible. After Mona dies from an overdose, Benson and Fin refuse to believe that it was an accident.
Benson then talks to Martin who becomes upset that someone had killed Mona. Martin then uses his inhaler but Benson and Tutuola think that Martin needs a lung scan too. The detectives inform him of this, as the scared Martin had his lawyer to take him to the hospital. It was revealed that Martin had scarring on his lungs and believe that Connie was poisoning him. After cocaine and industrial abrasive was found in one of Connie's properties, Connie ends up getting arrested for ordering Mona's murder and poisoning Martin. In the questioning room, Martin claimed that Connie would never hurt him and that he needs his mother otherwise he will end up an orphan. After Carisi manages to find Peter, Martin shows up and hugs Peter. He is then introduced to his half-sister, who he proceeds to bond with. Connie then shows up and accuses Peter of stealing Martin from her. Martin then defends Peter which upsets Connie. Connie then retaliates by saying that she doesn't need Martin or anyone. In the end, Martin ends up confessing to rape and gets arrested. (SVU: "Bubble Wrap")
