Method Man (born Clifford Smith) is an American actor who portrayed Dennis King in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 9 episode "Snitch".

Method Man's television credits include The Wire (featuring Lance Reddick, Wendell Pierce, John Doman, and Michael Kenneth Williams), Oz (featuring Christopher Meloni, J.K. Simmons, Dean Winters, and Craig Grant), Boston Public (featuring Anthony Heald, Jeri Ryan, Jon Abrahams, and Kathy Baker), and Burn Notice (featuring Jeffrey Donovan and Gabrielle Anwar). More recently he had a starring role in the short-lived police drama Rebel (featuring Danielle Moné Truitt, Mykelti Williamson, and Giancarlo Esposito), had a recurring role on the historical crime saga Godfather of Harlem (featuring Giancarlo Esposito, Vincent D'Onofrio, Chazz Palminteri, and Paul Sorvino), and has a starring role of Davis Maclean on Power Book II: Ghost (featuring Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Daniel Sunjata). He also starred in the films How High and Soul Plane (with Tom Arnold and Snoop Dogg).

In addition to his acting career, Method Man is best known as a member of the hip-hop group Wu Tang Clan. In 1996, he won the Gramny Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By" with R&B singer Mary J. Blige, his co-star on Power Book II: Ghost. In addition to his contributions to seven Wu-Tang albums, Method Man has released six solo albums and three albums with frequent collaborator Redman. He also appeared in the 13th season of The Masked Singer (with James Van Der Beek).
