Michael S. Chernuchin is a producer, writer, and story editor who was involved with many episodes from Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Chernuchin also wrote the Homicide: Life on the Street crossover episode "For God and Country".
He was the showrunner for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit from Season 19 to Season 20.
On April 22, 2019, it was confirmed that Chernuchin would leave SVU as showrunner and join Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI.
