Miriam Johnson is one of two traffickers, along with her husband Eric Johnson, of Haitian children to turn into child house slaves. They even kept a boy, Patrick, in their house for such captivity and abuse.
The Johnsons were suspected when two divorce lawyers, Fred and Lizzy Bellamy, who were investigating their operations to shut them down were murdered in their home. The Johnsons were arrested, along with other couples they colluded with, and the children were rescued to be given sanctuary and hopefully returned to their loved ones in Haiti., successfully breaking the trafficking ring apart.
It’s revealed the Johnsons’ daughter Karen made Patrick shoot the Bellamy's dead to stop their efforts. Karen and Patrick were consequently arrested too. (L&O: "Chattel")
