Mitch Pileggi is an actor who played D.E.A. Agent Jack Hammond in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episodes "Loss" and "Ghost".
Pileggi is best known for playing FBI assistant director Walter Skinner on the long-running popular series The X-Files (with Annabeth Gish and Robert Patrick). He also starred on the show The Mountain (with Anson Mount and Alana De La Garza) and Walker (with Molly Hagan) and had recurring roles as Colonel Steven Caldwell on Stargate Atlantis, Ernest Darby in Sons of Anarchy, and Harris Ryland in the TNT revival of Dallas (with Brenda Strong, Emma Bell, and Judith Light). He was also the voice of Commissioner James Gordon on the animated TV show The Batman (a character played by J.K. Simmons in the film Justice League and Christopher Meloni in the animated TV show Harley Quinn).
