Quotes[]
Jamie Ross: Jack, I'm leaving the D.A.'s office.
Jack McCoy: (incredulously) NO! ...
Jamie Ross: (Smiles, shakes her head and sighs) You know I've had some problems with some of our cases.
Jack McCoy: No explanations necessary, Jamie. And that disciplinary committee thing... you don't owe me anything. Go out like you came in.
Jamie Ross: I appreciate that.
(Later)
Schiff: Aren't you going to appear before the Disciplinary Committee this afternoon?
McCoy: Uh huh.
Schiff: Shouldn't you be preparing?
McCoy: Well, I shredded all the documents, erased the tapes, paid off the witnesses... I'm covered, Adam.
Schiff: Too bad the committee doesn't share your sense of humor. Good Luck.
McCoy: Right back at ya, Adam.
Background information and notes[]
- Goof: Michael Cullen's character's name is incorrectly shown as "James Deitz" in a scene card when he is credited as "Dietz".
- Ross and McCoy discuss Schiff's election opponent Judge Feldman, his mudslinging at Schiff, and his complaint to the Disciplinary Committee against McCoy as revenge for the "Dressler case" in the episode "Under the Influence".
- This is the last episode to feature Jamie Ross as a main cast member. She returns as a Defense Attorney in "Justice" and "School Daze". She later appeared as a Judge in the Law & Order: Trial by Jury episodes "41 Shots" and "Bang & Blame" and guest-starred once more as an ADA in the first episode of the Law & Order revival "The Right Thing".
