Nelson Lehman is the father of Dana Silva and grandfather of Dana’s daughter, Nicole Shoemaker. Nelson conspired with Nicole’s father, Dr. Phillip Shoemaker, to get her back when Dana’s second husband, Oscar Silva, was in New York City. After Phillip poisoned Oscar with Ritalin, the Lehman's gained temporary custody of Nicole once Dana returned to America with her.
Nelson and his wife Sharon staged a hoax where they drugged Nicole with sleeping pills and placed her in a boat house then sent a floating boat out to sea and pretended Nicole was missing, in the hopes of pinning the “disappearance” on Dana. The ruse didn’t work once Nicole was found, and Nelson confessed to every crime, even Phillip’s. Phillip was pressured to confess to his on the stand, breaking the last ruse.
Nelson pleaded guilty to fraud and endangerment of a child and was imprisoned. (L&O: “Brazil”)
