Nicholas "Nick" Capetti was the prime suspect in the kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Jodie Gaines.
Nick had a prior conviction of burglary. He was charged with felony murder and kidnapping and faced with a life sentence without parole. During arraignment, however, Nick was shot to death by the victim's mother, Karen Gaines, who had ordered the kidnapping. (L&O: "Bitter Fruit")
