Nick Castillo was a career criminal who murdered Perry Sutton.
History[]
Castillo was caught by Perry trying to steal goods from a bodega. When Perry tried to get Castillo to give back the goods, Castillo murdered Perry. Nick then becomes the prime suspect and Cosgrove and Shaw question his girlfriend. His girlfriend claims that Castillo was shot and is in the hospital. Cosgrove and Shaw place Castillo under arrest for Perry's murder.
Castillo appears in court by video while still in the hospital. His defense attorney claims there are no witnesses or any other evidence to link Castillo to the murder. Maroun points out that Castillo is a career criminal with an extremely long record. Later, while going through files with Cosgrove and Shaw, Maroun finds out that her name is on the witness list because she arraigned Castillo ten months ago but was released on remand.
Maroun then meets with Castillo's victim from the previous case who she tries to get to testify at his trial. However, she ends up taking the stand but Castillo's defense attorney objects. Later, Maroun takes the stand and is cross-examined by Castillo's defense attorney and Price also cross-examines her. Eventually, Castillo is found guilty of Perry's murder and imprisoned.
