Nico Grey was a child who was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by Courtney Lane with the assistance of Emma Butler.
History[]
Nico was frequently bullied by his peers due to his Romani race. One day, his parents Nadia and Tomas Grey decided to let him walk to school on his own but gave him a cellphone to contact his parents. While walking home from school, Emma and Courtney kidnapped him before he crossed the road at the traffic lights and took him to a construction site.
Nico was then harassed by Emma and Courtney when they shoved him around as well as bullied him, before Courtney tortured him when she burnt cigarettes on his chest, arms and scrotum. Nico became so frightened he wet himself and then told Emma and Courtney he was going to tell his mother. Courtney then grabbed Nico's scarf and strangled him to death. Emma yelled at Courtney to stop but Courtney replied that Nico was a "dumb gypsy boy" and boasted no one was going to miss him. His body was later found at the construction site.
Once Courtney and Emma were apprehended, the two confessed to the murder. While Emma expressed remorse in Nico's death, Courtney was not as forthcoming and even tried to justify the torture as harmless fun. Courtney also shrugged off the murder. (SVU: "Lost Traveler")
