Nikki Michelle James is an actress who guest-starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent in the episodes "Stray" as Tamara Bates and in the episode "Salome in Manhattan" as Jackie. She also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episodes "Father Dearest" as 911 Operator and in the episode "Padre Sandunguero" as Detective Gail Dunbar.
James won the 2011 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Nabulungi for her role in The Book of Mormon (with Michael Potts and Brian Tyree Henry). From 2015 to 2016, James appears on the CBS drama series as Monica Timmons in The Good Wife with Julianna Margulies, Chris Noth and Josh Charles. In 2018, she reprised the role for several episodes of the series sequel The Good Fight with Christine Baranski.
In January 2023, James was cast as Kirsten McDuffie in the upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, along with Vincent D'Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer, Kamar de los Reyes, Clark Johnson, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Michael Gaston.
