Nikki Staines is a Manhattan defense attorney who has faced off against the Special Victims Unit for several years.
In March 2019, Staines was sexually assaulted by a lawyer named Rob Miller at a police charity ball, which eventually led to Miller stalking and threatening her when he was released on bail two months later, terrifying her. Despite being frightened of him, she helped the Special Victims Unit imprison Miller for the murder of a teenage girl. (SVU: "Blackout", "End Game")
