Sister Nina Kelly was a nun and amateur undercover informant in the ranks of St. Fabiola's Sex Trafficking Ring, which operates in her church to exploit the girls she knows and cares for in her congregation.

She worked tirelessly to report to Special Victims on information regarding the case, though they were on rocky terms especially when she learned Ed Tucker was the cousin of Eugene O'Hanigan, who was involved in the conspiracy. She began to think that SVU was involved in the ring, despite Benson assuring her.
Afterwards, she attempts to go on the run with Natalia Diaz while calling Benson to let her know of her actions. Tragically, her cover was blown to the ring, leading to the one of the lead traffickers, Father Victor Akintola, raping her and shooting her dead. However, her efforts would not be in vain and would be crucial to cracking the investigation wide open, saving Tucker's job and freedom.
