The third season of Law & Order: Organized Crime was confirmed on May 10, 2022. It premiered on September 22, 2022 and concluded on May 18, 2023. It is the only season to feature Sean Jablonski as showrunner and Brent Antonello as Jamie Whelan as well as the first season to feature Rick Gonzalez as Bobby Reyes. Both Gonzalez and Antonello joined the main cast in the second episode. In Australia, the season was launched onto streaming service 9Now for free with ads with the first 13 episodes being launched on June 30, 2023 and episodes 14-22 launching a day later, marking the first time a season in the franchise premiered on a streaming service instead of broadcast television. It aired alongside season twenty-two of Law & Order and season twenty-four of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
