The State of Oklahoma is a state of the United States of America, achieving statehood in 1907.

On April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh detonated a truck bomb in front of the Murrah P. Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The bombing killed 168 people, including 19 children and injured hundreds of others and the building was basically destroyed. McVeigh claimed that he was motivated to avenge the Ruby Ridge and Waco massacres, the latter of which happened on April 19, 1993. It remains the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in United States history and was the deadliest act of terrorism in United States history until the 9/11 attacks.
