Oscar Groves is a cabbie and the stranger rapist of Emilia Barassi. Emilia played strip poker with her friend Tommy Burke at a party, with Groves firsthand witnessing Emilia after she redressed herself. Groves raped her and beat her, leaving her unconscious in an alleyway.
Groves was quickly tracked, arrested after a confession, and imprisoned. The rape leads the SVU detectives to the exposure of Emilia's other rapist, her exchange parent Richard Matthews. (SVU: "Exchange")
