Oscar Isaac Hernández Estrada is a Guatemalan-American actor who starred in films such as The Nativity Story, Inside Llewyn Davis (with Adam Driver) for which he received a Golden Globe Award nomination, A Most Violent Year, Ex Machina, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Operation Finale.
He also starred as Poe Dameron in the Star Wars sequel trilogy of films (Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, and Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker) again with Adam Driver, John Boyega, and Greg Grunberg.
In late-January 2019, Isaac was cast as Duke Leto Atreides in the upcoming Denis Villeneuve film Dune (with Timothée Chalamet and Stephen Henderson).
In 2021, he starred as Jonathan Levy in the HBO miniseries Scenes from a Marriage (with Jessica Chastain, Corey Stoll, and Nicole Beharie), an English-language remake of the 1973 Swedish miniseries of the same name by Ingmar Bergman, which brought the series more critical acclaim. In 2022, Isaac starred as Marc Spector/Moon Knight in the Disney+ series Moon Knight (2022) which is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (with F. Murray Abraham).
He guest-starred as Robbie Paulson in the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "The Healer".
He met Danish film director Elvira Lind in 2012, and they married in February 2017. They have two sons and live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
He is close friends with Pedro Pascal and Sarah Paulson.
