Patricia Botten is the mistress of Reynaldo Celaya, who was disillusioned with his marriage to his wife Marcela after she was having an affair with Reynaldo's brother Rafael Celaya. Patricia herself was married to a man named Paco, who also knew about the affairs. When Marcela disappeared and Reynaldo was framed for her murder, she wanted to testify in his defense, but Paco silenced her out of his own insecure shame. Reynaldo got ten years in prison for manslaughter as a result.
When Marcela turned up dead from a recent murder shortly after Reynaldo got out, Patricia was questioned hen the brothers were suspected. She punched one of the detectives to try and get away, which was used as leverage against her to make her talk. She revealed both the affairs and why she didn't stick up for Reynaldo when he needed it, and in return, they didn't charge her with assault of an officer. Reynaldo and Rafael were revealed to have teamed up to have killed Marcela: after Marcela framed Reynaldo and ran of with Rafael, Reynaldo made Rafael pay him back by killing Marcela, so Reynaldo could take the fall and argue double jeopardy so the brothers evaded prosecution.
