Perry Cannavaro is the owner of several strip clubs where he employs runaways. He always exploits the runaways and other employees and patrons in a sex trafficking ring the clubs are used as a guise for.

Cannavaro's crimes come under siege when waitress Clare Wilson is raped by a drunk Bobby Masconi, only to be arrested for fraud and placed in a dangerously abusive correctional facility. Cannavaro's suspected of arranging the legal injustice, but he alleges he knew nothing about it and refused to give up his clients.

After Wilson's release on an emergency order, it's revealed Masconi, a county prosecutor, set up Wilson to cover up the rape and Cannavaro stayed silent as part of the cover up, as Masconi was Cannavaro's legal insurance to keep the ring going. Cannavaro was arrested during a siege from numerous local and federal agencies, including the health department and immigration, which led to grounds for uncovering the ring and adding RICO sex crime charges.

Cannavaro was originally reluctant to name Masconi as Clare's rapist, still waiting for a chance to absolve himself of his current charges. After Masconi's other accomplice, corrupt judge Daniel Dolan, kills himself when Masconi threatens him with selling him out for being a part of the sex trafficking, Cannavaro finally sells out Masconi, leading to his arrest and Wilson's positive ID.

Cannavaro was found guilty of RICO sex offense charges, fraud, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and a slew of other charges and imprisoned for life, likely with leniency in sentencing due to judicial cooperation. (SVU: "Jersey Breakdown")
