Bureau Chief Phillip Baptiste was the bureau chief of Homicide and one of the bosses of A.D.A. Dominick Carisi, Jr.

History[]

Baptiste and Trial Division Chief Lorraine Maxwell became determined to make sure that the victims in a triple homicide get justice by putting their murderers away. However, Carisi suspects an accomplice, Tori Warshofsky, to be the victim of domestic abuse and Tori's statement confirms it. However, Baptiste and Maxwell see this as an excuse to get off on a triple homicide and tells Carisi to do his best to convict her. However, after roughly examining Tori in court, Carisi stands up to Baptiste and Maxwell and encourages them to release Tori and her friend Jasmine, who is also a victim of rape and abuse. Baptiste says that Tori will serve 200 hours of community service and will receive counseling as a part of her probation. (SVU: "Nightmares In Drill City")
