Ahmir Khalib Thompson (born January 20, 1971), known professionally as Questlove, is an American musician, songwriter, disc jockey, author, and music journalist. He is the drummer and joint frontman for the hip hop band the Roots, who serve as the house band for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and previously Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He made an uncredited cameo as a corpse in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Criminal Stories",[1] which he had mentioned was a lifelong fantasy.[2]
