Quotes[]
[McCoy is at a political debate function and has a private conversation with his rival opponent, Joe Chappell]
Chappell: You know, Jack, I really ought to put your man Cutter on my campaign staff. First he pisses off the Jews, then he attacks devout Christians as perjurers. What's he gonna do next... indict Muhammad?
McCoy: He's prosecuting a murderer... which, as a candidate for District Attorney, you should understand, instead of distorting it to inflame religious passions for political gain.
Cheppell: The governor told me you were too high-minded to run a decent campaign. But really, I had no idea.
[The next day, Cutter asks how it went]
McCoy: He didn't accuse me personally of being the anti-Christ, but not well.
[Cutter suggests locking up the charity]
McCoy: Shutting down a Christian Charity? Maybe I can still get the Buddhist vote.
Background information and notes[]
- Rock Kohli, who portrays Mr. Singh in this episode, goes on to play a recurring role with the same surname, Ravi Singh, in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The similarity is likely a coincidence.
- Goof: The murder suspect, Darvey, is in the back seat of a diplomatic vehicle and tries to get out. The door is locked and, even after repeated attempts, he can't get out. He punches the man next to him and suddenly he's able to open the door.
