Mrs. Rawley is the mother of comatose car crash victim Stephanie Rawley. She was devastated hearing she was pregnant while she was in her state from being raped in the hospital, she was staying in. The suspects were eliminated, even extending as far as her husband, Mr. Rawley, which he punched Stabler over.
It was revealed Stephanie's neurologist, Dr. Graham Mandell, and his colleague, Dr. Garrison, inseminated Stephanie and another comatose patient, hoping to extract stem cells from their fetuses to treat Parkinson's in experiment patron Davis Langley. When the doctors were put on trial, Mrs. Rawley testified about Stephanie, the Rawley family, her accident, and the trust in her doctors which was betrayed.
The trial left the doctors and Langley with light penalties without sure felony convictions. The worst part was Mrs. Rawley's horror over Langley suing for parental rights to her grandchild, just for their umbilical cord rife with stem cells. (SVU: "Waste")
