Reg E. Cathey was an actor who played four different characters on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Cathey starred on the TV show The Wire (with John Doman, Frankie Faison, Wendell Pierce, Lance Reddick, Andre Royo, Sonja Sohn, Jim True-Frost, Seth Gilliam, Glynn Turman, and Michael K. Williams). He also starred in the 2015 Fantastic Four film with Michael B. Jordan and Kate Mara. Cathey appears as Pastor James Lucas, the father of Superhero Luke Cage (Mike Colter) in the second season of MCU series Luke Cage.
He passed away on February 9, 2018, after an ongoing battle with lung cancer.
